About digital signal audio output
The unit converts the format of digital audio signals recorded on media and output them.
•Audio signal input may not be supported depending on the HDMI compatible monitor (projector, etc.) being used. When the unit is connected to this kind of device, audio signals are not output from the HDMI terminal.

z1 The output format is automatically changed depending on the
audio format or number of channels that the connected HDMI
device supports.
z2 When “BD Audio Mode” (vpage31) is set to “Mix Audio
Output”, the secondary audio and interactive audio are mixed
to output linear PCM.
z3 If the connected HDMI device does not support Dolby Digital
Plus, Dolby TrueHD, or DTS-HD, the signal is output as Dolby
digital or DTS Digital Surround bitstream. If it does not support
the Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround bitstream, it is output
as multi-linear PCM or 2-channel linear PCM.
z4 When “Video resolution” (vpage 29) is set to “480/576i”
or “480/576P”, DOLBY TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio
bitstreams are output as DOLBY DIGITAL and DTS Digital
Surround bitstreams, respectively. Also, the DSD multi-channel
signals are output as DSD 2 channel signals.
z5 If the connected HDMI device does not support AAC , the
signal is output as Linear PCM.
z6 When a device that does not support DSD is connected to the
HDMI OUT AMP or MONITOR connector, linear PCM signals
are output from the HDMI OUT connector.
z7 If “BD Audio Mode” (vpage 31) is set to “MIX Audio
Output” , second audio and interactive audio are mixed and
output.
z8 If the connected HDMI device does not support AAC, the signal
is not output.
