LISTENING TO FM/AM

FM Auto preset memory
1. Press the POWER ON/STANDBY switch q or
button z to turn on the power.
2. Watching the display, press the INPUT button
i or . or FM button ⁄9 to select the FM band.
3. Press the AUTO TUNE button ⁄4.
4. Press the ENTER button b.
The unit automatically begins searching for
FM broadcast stations.
When the first FM broadcast station is found,
that station is stored in the preset memory at
channel A1.
Subsequent stations are automatically stored
in order at preset channels A1 to A10, B1 to
B10, C1 to C10, D1 to D10 for a maximum of
40 stations.
Channel A1 is tuned in after the auto preset
memory operation is completed.
Note
If an FM station cannot be preset automatically
due to poor reception, use the Manual tuning
operation to tune in the station, then preset it
using the manual Preset memory operation.
To interrupt this function, press the
POWER
ON/STANDBY switch q or button z
.
Perform this operation from the remote control
unit.

button z to turn on the power.
2. Watching the display, press the INPUT button
i or . or FM button ⁄9 or AM button ¤1 to
select the desired band (AM or FM).
3. Press the MENU button u or n to select
menu.
4. Either turn the Easy JOG 4/¢ knob !5 or
press the 5 or button c to select Search
Mode.
5. Press the Easy JOG 4 /¢ knob !5 or
ENTER button b to set search mode.
6. Either turn the Easy JOG 4/¢ knob !5 or
press the 5 or button c to select Auto.
7. Press the Easy JOG 4 /¢ knob !5 or
ENTER button b to set the auto tuning mode.

8. Either turn the Easy JOG 4/¢ knob !5 or
press the 1 button ⁄1 or ¡ button ⁄2.
Automatic searching begins, then stops when
a station tuned in.
Notes
When in the auto tuning mode on the FM band,
the display on the panel when the stereo
broadcast is tuned in. At open frequencies, the
noise is muted and the tuned off.
If the signal is weak, if may be difficult to tune
into the station in stereo. In such a case, press
the MODE button , on the remote control. FM
stereo broadcasts are received in monaural and
the is not illuminated. To return to stereo
mode, press the MODE button , on the remote
control again.
If tuning does not stop at the desired station.
Use Manual tuning operation.

select the desired band (AM or FM).

menu.

press the 5 or button c to select Search
Mode.
5. Press the Easy JOG 4 /¢ knob !5 or
ENTER button b to set search mode.
6. Either turn the Easy JOG 4/¢ knob !5 or
press the 5 or button c to select Manual.

Press the Easy JOG 4/¢ knob !5 or ENTER
button b to set the manual tuning mode.
8. Either turn the Easy JOG 4/¢ knob !5 or
press the 1 button ⁄1 or ¡ button ⁄2 to tune
in the desired station.
The frequency changes continuously when
the 1 button ⁄1 or ¡ button ⁄2 on the
remote control unit is held in.
